“We are delighted to endorse Esterlam,” says Antony Whiteside, Managing Director, Absolute Engineering. “As specialists in ink doctoring systems and anilox rollers, we’ve been working in the print and coating industry for decades with Esterlam.
‘What makes the Esterlam team & products different to other blade suppliers is the unique blade construction and how they can tailor every single blade to every single customer applications & requirements. A truly bespoke service that ensures customers get the right blade widths and more importantly the right profiles they need to get the optimum performance from their machines. It’s this attention to detail and dedication to high quality, engineered blades that really sets them apart.”

“Our parents innovated the world’s very first synthetic doctor blade to improve print & coating performance and improve the life of the chrome anilox rollers over 40 years ago,” adds Neil Hailey. “Don Hailey designed the first synthetic blade to help solve the problems and frustrations that flexo printers experienced back then which are the same problems experienced today. He identified problems in the print industry and dedicated himself to fix it. Very quickly Esterlam was born and we’ve been at the forefront of the industry ever since, winning a host of awards. We still manufacture our blades in the UK to the very highest tolerances and supply a global customer-base.
Our parents’ visionary mindset and problem-solving skills is still at the very heart of what Esterlam stand for today,” says Neil(TBC) ‘One of the best parts of my job is helping companies with problems they’re having with other blades and work with them and companies like Absolute to find solutions to fix it. We’re still a family business, you could say printing & converting is firmly in our family DNA!”
